Description
This is a Photoshop piece I completed in the Barnard Digital Media Lab on campus here at UNCC. It was done for Concept Studio class as my first critique piece.
I ripped 24 rather random organic chemicals from sheets and book scans and added in the periodic table. The DNA is not only cliche but rather bright, taking the focus off the words (which were supposed to be consideration #1.)
After a lot of arranging, a bit of an awkward timeline construction, and another bit of text, I decided it was totally finished and no work could ever make it better. (Just kidding, I ran out of time at about 4 and a half hours of real PS work.)
Time: 2 hours or so conceptual and sketching, 4-5 on legit PSCS3. Native size and res: 18x24' @ 300dpi.
I really want to develop the idea of combining the mind-exploding depth of science (something that either makes artists' heads explode or start tripping) with illustration, graphics, etc.

I think the animation instructors at my school despise deviantart and the average of what it stands for. The rational human mind can take but so much kingdom hearts/naruto yaoi and yuri.
